Nervous... Yeah, That's an Understatement!

We had these three 85' trees in our backyard that we've been wanting to take down for a while because the roots tear up our grass in the backyard and we've been wanting to put in a sprinkler system. We got a quote for someone to come over and it seemed pretty expensive just for them to knock them down. We would still have to haul them out ourselves. So Matt decided he wanted to do it himself. So with the help of our dad's and my sister's husband Jeff and a few neighbors they were able to knock them down.

I can't believe it but we were so lucky! No major damage. We're going to have to fix the fence in a few places but no house damage. Whew! I could barely watch! After you watch the video maybe you'll understand! (Sorry it's sideways, my bad!)

Lake Mead

We were a little nervous because it was Cash's first time out on a boat and sleeping in our trailer. It was a big weekend but the little munchkin passed with flying colors! He fussed when we first put his lifejacket on but was such a trooper the rest of the time. It was so nice to get away... Especially to someplace warm since it's been an eternal winter at home.

Who knew a daddy could be so funny???

I came home today and Matt showed me this video. Apparently Cash was really tired and this was the result. Matt said he was more than a little punch drunk!

I Want To Do it Myself, Thank You!

So Cash had his first taste of squash. He was fussing a little bit and I couldn't figure out why until he got a hold of the spoon and WOULD NOT give it back. I couldn't pry it from his death grip! The funny thing was that he couldn't figure out that he could control the the utensil that was gagging him... My poor child! Is it bad that I laugh at these things?!

Conference Weekend

I love conference! My little brother always said there's nothing as good as church on TV. I agree with that whole-heartedly but I also love that we're able to learn and grow and that it's direct guidance for us in our time right now. I found it interesting how the economy was talked about quite a bit. I thought it was so good to have a spiritual perspective on it. I've also been thinking a lot about how blessed we are. I feel like I have so much to be grateful for. I also feel like conference is such a good motivator for me. I always leave wanting to be better and to try harder.

The Baby Einstein Phenomenon

Has anyone else ever experienced this??? It mesmerizes boys of all ages apparently :) I was waiting for drool to start down the corners of their mouthes.

Thanks Val for the entertainment! It's been a hit!
